Who I am
Architect turned UX/UI Designer based in Amsterdam.
‍
After being part of the Stadiums' and Polyvalent Halls' team at the top 3 Romanian architecture studios, I  transitioned to UX/UI Design to make a bigger impact and improve the lives of billions of people, not just locally.
With over 10 years in the creative field and 4 years of working experience as an architect, I developed a strong systems-thinking mindset. In architecture, every decision must balance business goals, users' needs, accessibility requirements, engineering constraints, and tool limitations. I learned to consult design laws and relevant design books. Designing public buildings, I saw how people interact with physical spaces, when confusion appears, and how clarity shapes better experiences. This naturally translates into digital designs, where usability, accessibility, and simplicity remain essential.
Over time, I became more interested in how people interact with digital design, not just in physical spaces. This curiosity led me to complete a 1-year UX/UI Design Bootcamp, where I studied user research, usability testing, information architecture, and prototyping. I enjoy understanding users’ mental models and empathy maps, spotting when frustrations appear, validating ideas through research, and making design decisions based on reliable information.
‍
Today, I continue developing my skills by working on a self-initiated project, the "Price Tracking & Deal Transparency App", and refining my ability to solve design problems by reflecting on business and marketing strategy, while keeping users' needs in mind. I am also exploring how AI tools can support design workflows and help create more efficient digital products.
My creativity comes from research, meaningful conversations with other professionals, and understanding the strategy behind a product.
I’m currently seeking a UX/UI or Product Designer role, where I can contribute to building clear, reliable, and user-centered digital products while growing in a collaborative environment.
